Shyam Raithatha 6th Dan

Shyam started karate at the age of 12 under Sensei Eric Pich at Kilburn Shotokan Karate Club which were members of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) and the Japan Karate Association (JKA).
As well as Karate, Shyam is also the CEO of a security company providing licensed Door Supervisors and Personal Protection Officers to individuals and businesses and acts as a security consultant for venues and events. 

1992 - Started Karate at Kilburn SKC

1997 - Passed 1st Dan under Sensei Enoeda and Sensei Andy Sherry

1998 - Began Teaching In After School Clubs Around Brent

1999 - Passed Nidan under Sensei Enoeda

2002 - KUGB Southern Area Team Kata Champion

2002 - Began Teaching Karate 7 Days A Week

2003 - Passed Sandan under Sensei Ueki

2004 - Moved to Kensington and joined The Budokwai (Europe's Oldest Dojo) under Sensei Ohta

2005 - JKA England Team Kata Champion

2005 - JKA Europe Team Kumite Silver

2009 - JKA England Individual Kumite Silver & Team Kumite Silver

2009 - Passed Yondan under Sensei Ueki

2010 - Shobu Ippon International Team Kumite Champion

2010 - SKDUN World Championship Team Kumite Bronze - England Team Captain

2011 - Travelled to Japan to train at the JKS Hombu for Kangeiko (Special Winter Training)

2011 - Formed Harrow Shotokan Karate and affiliated to the JKS

2011 - Competed at JKS World Championship

2013 - Travelled to Japan to train at JKS Headquarters 

2014 - BASK Individual Kata Champion

2015 - JSKA UK Kata Champion, Kumite Bronze

2015 - Travelled to Japan. Passed Godan under Kagawa Shihan at the JKS International Seminar held at Teikyo University.

2016 - JSKA UK Kata Champion

2016 - British Sport Karate Coalition Kata Champion


2017 - Completed his 2nd Kangeiko in Tokyo

2018 - BASK Senior Male Kata Champion


2022 - Passed 6th Dan in Tokyo under Kagawa Shihan and JKS Shihankai

Sensei Nirmay Jadhav 2nd Dan

Sensei Nirmay joined the club in 2011 and was one of the first students aged 6. By the age of 11, he became the clubs first home produced black belts. A great mentor to adults and children a like in the dojo. He is technically very gifted and currently studies Aerospace Engineering at Cambridge University.


Sensei Helen Daglish 2nd Dan


Sensei Helen started her karate career in Scotland at the JKS Scotland Hombu before moving to London. She's been training with JKS Harrow now for 6 years and took her second under Sensei Alan Campbell, head of JKS England in 2022
